There are two categories of annual giving: unrestricted and restricted.
Dean's Excellence Fund - Unrestricted gifts are those without specification as to how they should be used. As a result, they provide the dean of the college with the flexibility to address unmet or unexpected financial needs.
Each fiscal year, the E. J. Ourso College of Business recognizes all gifts to the Dean’s Excellence Fund as gifts to the Annual Fund. Leadership gifts of $1,000 or more to the Dean’s Excellence Fund qualify you for membership in the Dean’s Circle. For more information on the Dean's Excellence Fund, click here.
TigerTalk Phone-A-Thon - Since we cannot visit all 32,000 E. J. Ourso College alumni,
each spring semester TigerTalkers reach out to our alumni across the country who pledge gifts of support to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.
Did You Know?
Each fall semester, all LSU alumni receive the Flagship Fund appeal. Alumni can designate their donations for the Flagship Fund to the E. J. Ourso College.
The next time you receive that call or letter, please remember us!
A restricted gift is one in which the donor designates its use to support a particular purpose or project. Restricted gifts are not included in the Annual Fund and do not qualify you for membership in the Dean’s Circle. Donors who make restricted annual gifts are also encouraged to consider a gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.
Annual Scholarships - Contributions can be made to provide an annual, non-endowed, scholarship to a student enrolled in the E. J. Ours College. Annual scholarships are a naming opportunity. For the establishment of a permanent scholarship, donors may want to consider an endowed scholarship. For more information on this type of giving, click here.
Annual Awards - Contributions can be made to provide annual awards to outstanding graduate students or faculty in the E. J. Ours College of Business. Awards may be given as faculty or PhD student research grants, teaching awards, or graduate student tuition assistance. Annual awards are a naming opportunity. For the establishment of a permanent award, donors may want to consider an endowed award. For more information on this type of giving, click here.
Department, Center, and Institute Support – Contributions can be designated to a specific department, center, or institute in the E. J. Ourso College. Gifts to each unit’s development fund are unrestricted within the unit. For the establishment of permanent support, donors may want to consider an endowed gift to the department, center, and institute of choice. For more information on this type of giving, click here.
