HydroFlame Technologies has developed a new process for burning a flame inside a rotating body of water. The new process has been successfully demonstrated in two different  pilot plant size operations to generate hot water and steam with thermal efficiencies exceeding 98%. The HydroFlame process can provide significant cost savings compared to the presently used conventional once-through oil-field steam generators.

InvenTherm, started in 2007, is a research and development services company with expertise in thermal energy systems and related components. There is a special emphasis on positive displacement compressor technology. Currently, InvenTherm is developing a novel oil-free compressor for portable medical applications, such as respirators. SCTCS offers a narrow range of specialized testing services related to settling and compression properties of hydraulically dredged sediments. Initially using compounds supplied by chemists at Albemarle Corporation, we will test their ability to reduce the viability of bacteria that are known or suspected contaminants of food, surfaces and instruments and are known to cause human disease.  Bacterial species include but are not limited to Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella sp., and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Data will be used to design new generations of antibacterials that can be used economically by the food production industries with potential applications for the defense and healthcare industries.
